application process
Information for applicants

​The application call for the 1st of April show at La Galerie Perkins has launched.
​
​Our show is out of the ordinary. The concept for the show is:
​Unconventional and Surprising Art
Laugh, think, and step outside the frame!
Whether it’s a rock, an empty base, or a frame for nothing at all — celebrate art that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The vernissage will take place on Wednesday, April 1st and artists must be in attendance for the vernissage. The exposition will be open to the public during select hours until the 26th of April but the gallery personnel will greet visitors during this time. Artists may be there if they would like but it is not an obligation.
The application deadline is December 15th Applicants will be advised whether or not they were selected during the month of January.
​All artwork must be at the gallery by March 27th (no artwork will be accepted after that date and no refunds will be given.)

A $5 fee must be paid per idea that you are submitting. You can include up to five pieces in a collection per idea. The application fees are to be sent by e-transfer (on the same day as the idea to empreintedarts@gmail.com.
Photos do not need to be included but each application must include:
-the idea for the 1st of April art piece / collection
-the artistic concept behind the work
-your contact information (town, phone number and e-mail address)
-Send everything by e-mail to empreintedarts@gmail.com by December 15th

-All pieces must be safe and secure for hanging/presentation.
-All pieces must be respectful. Anything that is racist, sexist etc. will be immediately disqualified.
Following the jury’s response, a contract must be signed, and a $20 presentation fee for the first piece and $5 per additional piece (to a maximum of five) must be paid within 2 weeks after receiving the contract. Each piece must be explained on the contract (the pieces do not need to be described in the application call but the concept must be clearly outlined).

A 15% fee will be taken on any sales done during the show.
